The Unix Operating system is a set of programs that controls the computer. It makes a link between you and the computer and provides tools to help you do your job. It so well designed that it provides a flexible computing environment for every user. Why should any one use Unix rather than other Operating system. The advantage of UNIX is as follows:

It is not very complicated at all. The UNIX operating system can use as a general purpose system. It performs a wide verity of application. The most important part is UNIX’s interactivities with other computer that allow you to communicate with others. You can immediately get the response to you request and massages.

 

In a multi-user environment you get the guarantee of shearing the computer with out any loss of information security. UNIX is significant in terms of you productivity also. The process is called “timesharing”, in which the entire users simultaneously using the same operating system. The UNIX interact and satisfied all it Users at the same time. It is multitasking operating system that enables the user to execute more than one program at the same time.
