Apartheid was a Government policy in South Africa that separate people a nation according to their color and race. He was the key man of African national Congress during the World War II. He speaks for the freedom of the black people of South Africa.

In 1962 he was found guilty according the government acts of South African and sentenced to five year in prison. But the people of South Africa support him and they made a strong campaign all over the world for the release of Mr. Mandela. On 11th Feb 1990 he was released by the South African president F. W. de Klerk. He was not alone in the prison Mr. Billy Nair was also spending 20 years in prison with him. He observed that in his fighting against apartheid Mahatma was a great inspiration and he deserve a special title for that.

During the British rule in India the common Indians could not afford to buy salt as it was expensive for them. A 61 years old Indian leader walks more than 300 km along sea side to protest against this. The British sent him to jail for this famous salt march.

Nelson Mandela is not the only student of Non- violence leader Mr. Mk Gandhi. There are some other famous leaders in the world who follow him for that. In the USA Martine Luther king Jr. was a great fan of Indian leader M K Gandhi. He was known as the civil right leader and got the height Honor in the USA as a civilian. In 1955 Black were facing problem according the American civil right laws of that time. A woman was arrested for not leaving her seat to a white.

The time is different but the goal and objective of two leaders make them our icon – reading their biography could change our mind to face any problem of our life in a peaceful way.
