A low cost PC is now very impotent for every student in a third world country like India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The low cost laptop is named as XO laptop and a processor designed by AMD is used in that laptop. The question arises in the people’s minds who know about the conflict between Intel and AMD, why the both competitors are in the same table? They said, it because of the need of our next generation, that is the children. But the pilot project is taking a long time to fulfill. A PC need to be energy efficient and environment friendly. The hardware is being made Eco- friendly. The long life batteries are used in that $100 gadget. In a country like India where the basic elements of living like home, food and cloths are not available from the parents’ income. Here, a laptop is nothing but a dream, for a third world child.
